Capital Markets

We bring expert advisory services in the Indian debt market.

The grossly under-developed Indian debt markets are due for major expansion with huge opportunities for overseas primary dealers, foreign institutional investors, sovereign wealth funds, family offices, large private equity and high net worth investors, to participate in this long-term opportunity.

We have provided the government and its agencies, namely Ministry of Finance, Reserve Bank of India, Securities Exchange Board of India and Ministry of Corporate Affairs, with short briefs on the key issues that need to be addressed. The first key reform is the creation of an independent debt management agency. Simultaneously, there is creation of an independent monetary policy committee with the Reserve Bank of India being responsible for "inflation targeting".

For inflation targeting to be effective, it is imperative that India has a fully developed capital markets. So expanding and bringing the Indian debt markets up to international standard is a high priority.
